The Northern Classical Bonsai Group (NCBG) was set up by John Armitage for enthusiasts from the North of England. Taking place on the first Monday of each of month, the evening classes are both enjoyable and very informative. The classes usually have a theme or subject but attendees are also required to bring with them Bonsai from their own collections to work on under Johns supervision along with tools, wire etc. There are also full day sessions which are held periodically at John’s studio.
It is not a club in the strictest sense of the term, but more a study group for those who are dedicated to learning, involving themselves in Bonsai and improving their trees.
Although some attendees are quite experienced and have been involved in bonsai for many years, beginners are more than welcome; the only requirements to join are enthusiasm for our art and without compromising standards.
There is no committee or membership fee.
Just good bonsai and enjoyment. |
